A diversified industrial, trading and services group operating from Jigjiga, in Ethiopia’s Somali Region.
How the group started
Sahid Business Group grew company by company along the corridor it works. It began in 2013 with Sahid Transport — heavy trucks moving cargo, fuel and water between Ethiopia, Djibouti and Somaliland. Jigjiga Royal Real Estate followed in 2018, Sahid MI Engineering brought manufacturing in-house in 2020, and Elelle Petroleum took the group into fuel retail in 2021.
Today the group also exports Ethiopian produce worldwide through Egan General Trading, operates Sahid Hotels in Gode and Garbo, manages regional trade through Bushra General Trading FZCO — with free-zone operations in Djibouti and fuel storage at Berbera Port — and is developing Mubarak General Hospital and Sahid Metal Factory.
Nine companies, one commitment: practical, dependable and built for the long term — moving goods, fuel, water, people and progress across Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.
